LCCC SIFE is working with the Lorain County Children's Services and Lorain County Community College to bring the OHIO REACH program to LCCC. Ohio Reach statistics state that 70% of foster care youths want to go to college, 15% actual enroll, and ONLY 3% make it to graduation.

The purpose of the Ohio Reach Program is to address the recruitment and retention of emancipated foster youth in Ohio's education system and establish liaisons at Ohio universities and community colleges.

The Goal is to help area colleges improve admissions and student support services to former foster care youth by adopting the OHIO REACH program.
